The Mid-Hudson Library System Battle of the Books program began in 2005 with only a few libraries participating in the reading competition for middle-school students. The program has grown over the years and currently has more that 27 libraries participating in this program that aims to provide middle- and high-school students with an exciting way to engage with books and reading. Due to popular demand, a Teen/High School program was introduced in 2016.

All Mid-Hudson member libraries are invited to participate in the program.

If you are a member library looking to participate, please contact Mid-Hudson Battle of the Books Executive Board president Jenn Gay at ysc@pattersonlibrary.org or Mid-Hudson Battle of the Books Executive Board vice president Matt Pavloff at matthew.pavloff@kinderhooklibrary.org
